Pratt & Whitney

As the head of communications and previously marketing specialist for the biggest engine program at Pratt & Whitney (RTX), I helped bring the GTF engine to market and led the launch of its first big upgrade, GTF Advantage, a decade later. By repositioning the engines around their industry-leading environmental benefits and newly mature dispatch reliability, the company was able to capitalize on the recovery and pivot to sustainability, with 3,000+ engine orders and commitments announced from 2020 through 2023.

Highlights

GTF Advantage

In collaboration with customers, partners and company leaders, marketers and communicators, I managed the introduction of the GTF Advantage engine for the Airbus A320neo family. Unveiled at the company’s sustainability media event, analysts credited the upgrade for a 3.3% increase in RTX stock. I led the production of messages, slides, script, media prep, news release, revamped website, video, social media, and stories for employees. I managed events onsite in Hartford, CT and accompanied executives in media interviews.

Frontier

I worked with Frontier Airlines and my colleagues to design and name the airline’s first three Airbus A321neo aircraft — each in honor of a Pratt & Whitney aviation pioneer: founder Frederick Rentschler, president Maria Della Posta and Tuskegee Airman Edward Hall. Together we worked to promote this plane and the airline’s order of 144 GTF-powered A320neo family aircraft. With Frontier a first-time Pratt & Whitney customer, we collaborated on promotional material including news releases, blog posts, videos, social media and more.

SWISS

Working with SWISS, Airbus Canada, Pratt & Whitney in the U.S. and Canada, and two film crews, we planned and conducted video shoots of engine assembly and flight test operations at Montréal-Mirabel International Airport. Much of the footage was used for the aviation documentary series PilotsEYE.tv.
