Pratt & Whitney Canada
Selected as the first U.S. communications expat in nearly a decade, I led communications for aftermarket and business development across five segments. I marketed new facilities, improved services and services for new products that dramatically improved capture. In support of lead generation efforts, I managed print, web, blog, email and social content, with localization for China, India and Brazil. By coaching executives and employees to represent the company’s full portfolio, I also laid a strong foundation for the ongoing unification of our U.S. and Canadian brands as a single Pratt & Whitney.
Highlights
PT6 E-Series™ Engine
With the new PT6 E-Series engine for the Pilatus PC-12 NGX aircraft, Pratt & Whitney raised the bar in customer service with a new engine service plan. Through video, blog posts and more, I worked with company leaders along with the aftermarket, business development and communications teams to ensure a successful rollout of the service along with the new engine. 70-80% of PC-12 NGX owners have since signed up for this new offering, a dramatic improvement over similar offerings for prior-generation engines.
Pratt & Whitney in China
While our U.S. and Canadian divisions used to go to market as independent businesses, I saw an opportunity to strengthen our position by going to market as a single company. Working cross-functionally with the customer and communications teams in China, the U.S. and Canada, I led the creation of a video that would showcase our entire portfolio in China — and serve as a model for going to market in other key countries and regions.
